THIENG LIENG ISLAND

Thieng Lieng Island is an island hamlet located about 70km southeast of Ho Chi Minh city center, deep inside Thanh An commune, Can Gio district. Most of the landscape here is filled with rivers and canals, accompanied by lush green forests covering the island. Because there are not many human impacts, so the air on the island is always fresh and dust-free like in the city. Thieng Lieng Island still retains its rustic and wild nature that not all seas have. Coming to Thieng Lieng, you will discover and enjoy the peaceful and elegant life here, experience a new life in a remote and difficult place in Saigon.

07:45 am Pick-up at Saigon WaterBus Station.
08:00 am Depart to Thieng Lieng Island by luxury speedboat. When on board, enjoy a light breakfast of Sugar Town cake with mineral water & seasonal fruits, enjoy the fresh air and understand the daily life of local citizens living along the river banks.
09:00 am Arrive to Thieng Lieng Island,Welcoming the group at the ferry bridge, each guest will receive 1 conical hat, Take a souvenir photo of Thieng Lieng welcome gate; get 1 bicycle for each guest and start the journey to visit Thieng Lieng with the following activities:

– Visitors can easily feel the typical ecological landscape of the island hamlet with the characteristic green river view, you will enjoy the special water coconut ice cream exclusively at Thieng Lieng Island hamlet. Along with that, you immerse yourself in the existential space of memories with delicately arranged items, clearly understand the lively structure of the locality, especially the unique and open cultural convergence.

– Relax through foot bath with granulated salt and traditional herbs, and learn the process of processing specialties of Thieng Lieng salt in particular and Can Gio in general. Visitors approach and feel the added value from the local people’s orchard ecosystem through: “every season, every drink”.

– Enjoy and learn the process of making some typical Southern cakes from local pure natural ingredients, experience and learn about the salt-making profession of the Thieng Lieng salt-marsh community.

– Find out the additional livelihood of the inhabitants of the island hamlet through local cattle raising, check in with the goats of the island hamlet associated with the typical salt field landscape in Thieng Lieng.

– Check in the welcome gate “Doi Tamarind”, enjoy the specialty of salted lemonade, checkin the “five-color” house with unique local art architecture. Enjoy the sen and zither of folk artisans, and learn about the art of Don Ca Tai Tu of the people of Thieng Lieng.

– Visitors have lunch with dishes made from natural materials in the mangrove ecosystem with typical and diverse dishes in Thieng Lieng Island hamlet such as: octopus dipped in young tamarind leaves, grilled oysters, salted chicken.

02:00 pm Finish tour at Thieng Lieng Island and head to Saigon.

03:00 pm Arrive back to Saigon.
